What can I expect upon admission into your facility?
When you arrive at Royal Hospital, you will be screened by our nurse and also greeted by the reception staff. Your paper work will be completed, if applicable and you will then be escorted to your ward by one of our nursing staff. You will be made comfortable and have your vitals checked by the nursing staff and assessed by the Facility Doctor and the Multidisciplinary Team consisting of Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist, Social Worker(Range of therapy requirements will differ per patient) within the first 24hours.
What happens if I need a prescription?
If you have already been taking medication or chronic medication prescribed by your home doctor, please bring them with you for clarification or possible drug interactions and correlations with your treatment.
Medical Aids and Fees
Do you accept my medical aid?
Royal Hospital accepts all major and minor medical aids, subject to pre-approval.
Should you not have a medical aid, you are most welcome to speak to our team about our revised cash packages. Fees given by the team will include an admission deposit. You can ask for an estimate of the stay
Do I need referral?
Yes, all patients admitted into our facility will require a referral from a medical practitioner. Click here to download our referral form, which should be completed by your doctor.
Do you have parking facilities?
Yes.
Free Parking is available in the under cover garage, accessible via Henrietta Street.
