Our team of dietitians, at Royal Rehabilitation hospital, provide individualized nutrition care plans for any patient requiring nutritional assistance e.g. patients who need weight management (either losing or gaining), diabetic, high cholesterol, gout, arthritis, GBS, hypertension, cardiac issues, renal issues, post covid nutrition, liver concerns, anaemia, nutrition for the elderly, patients with a loss of appetite, nasogastric and PEG feeds.

  During your dietetic royal rehab journey, you can expect: Individual and group therapy sessions We will consult with you at your bedside. You will also be invited to diet groups. We run 2 groups per week. The groups are often held over a weekend. Various interactive activities (including cooking and baking sessions) and nutritional workshops are held.   Family involvement Families are encouraged to be a part of group therapy, in order to reinforce healthy food choices and to advise families on a range of patient specific dietary modifications. Family will be given feedback during family meetings   Customized equipment to monitor your condition at home or facility Glucometers and sensors will be issued pending requirements   Insulin education. Free insulin education support, for a year is offered to diabetic patients who require this.   Caregiver training Caregivers will be counselled on dietary requirements for home. A food list and sample plan will be issued on discharge. Recipes also issued on request.   Post discharge follow-ups These are advised 2weeks post discharge or on the day of your doctor’s follow-up appointment.
